Punta Cana 2021

In May of 2021, Rose took a FAM trip to Punta Cana with American Airlines Vacations. Restrictions such as COVID tests, masks and social distancing were all in place at the airports and resorts.

On Facebook, she said, “5:25 am and look how busy the airport is. I am on my way to Punta Cana for the American Airlines Vacations Fam. More pictures to follow”.

Rose had a great time at dinner with the whole group at their fusion restaurant. She tried octopus with suckers for the very first time.

Here are pictures from the Morning Presentation with American Airlines Vacations and Palladiums/Weddings/TRS Hotels.

Then, they were off to do a site inspection at the TRS Turquesa. Here is Amana and Emmanuel from Palladium, showing off the higher end rooms at the TRS Turquesa. This is a Jr Suite Swim-up.

This is the Roman Suite on the 3rd floor. It also has a room service door, where the light goes green when the food has arrived.

Upon check-in at the TRS Turquesa, they check your temperature and give you your wristband. Your wristband has your access to your room. This was Rose’s room that was overlooking the pool. Enjoy! Weather was perfect (86 and partly sunny).

Welcome to the TRS Cap Cana…upon arrival, you are greeted by the staff who will take your temperature and offer a refreshing cocktail. This hotel has a total of 115 rooms, 3 restaurants, a coffee shop, a lobby bar and a sports bar. Seaweed is all along the beaches, as it’s that time of the season.

This is the TRS Cap Cana’s lead-in category, which is a Jr Suite ocean-view.

This room is a Jr Ste with Terrace Jacuzzi. It has a rain shower, wrap around terrace and Bali Bed.

This is a Jr Ste Swimup.

Here are pictures of the pools and Helios Restaurant that is by the private beach.

The group had a fabulous dinner at El Gaucho. They had scallops for appetizers, lobster for dinner and apple pie for dessert. Yum!

This resort has ramps and elevators that make it easier to get around for all. The next day, Rose got her COVID-19 test, and had a site inspection of the Palladium complex.

Here are pictures of the Grand Palladium Palace’s grounds and kid’s area. They count kids as ages 1-12. Also included is the coffee shop and lobby area.

Here is a Jr Ste king room with pool view at the Grand Palladium Palace.

This is a Jr Ste Garden View with 2 twin beds and a pull out sofa. They have a radio and ports. Palladiums are now charging $10 per room for room service.

This is the Loft Suite. It has a king bed below and a king with a pull out sofa in the loft. This is a connection to the room with a king bed. The Grand has 20 connecting rooms. There is an additional cost to be paid to the hotel on check-in for this. Again, this is not a guarantee. Talk to your travel advisor if you are interested in this!

This is deluxe garden suite w/pull out sofa. It has 2 ale carte restaurants by pool called the El Dorado and Portofino.

This was the last dinner at Helios. This drink was made especially us,  called the Muy Taino. Rose chose the Turbot fish, and apple tart for dessert. Emmanuel ordered Gin Tonics with cucumbers. All the food on this trip was very good. There was also entertainment.

Here are more pictures of the group. This was an amazing American Airlines Vacations Fam. Big shout to Emmanuel, Claudia and everyone at TRS and Palladiums!

Everyone at the TRS and Palladium properties went out of their way to make their stay special; from Puvy (the Butler), the entertainers, Elvis, Tomas the Bellman, Melvin at the front desk, and Emmanuel and Amina from Palladiums. If they made us feel special, just think what you will be in for. Big muchas gracias! It is not good-bye, it’s see you later.

Another end to a great FAM trip. Rose learned a lot, made new friendships, shared ideas and saw some good hotels. The airport was packed, but Rose was happy to be going home!
