Popular locations for honeymooners
Whether your perfect honeymoon includes relaxing at the beach or hiking through the forest, there are plenty of options for all types of honeymooners! Here are some of the top destinations for honeymoons.
1. The Amalfi Coast, Italy
It is unsurprising that the Amalfi Coast is a fan-favorite for honeymooners- from the food to the architecture, this city is peak romance. Guests can visit the cathedral of Sorrento, walk through public parks and take a boat out to view the picturesque houses in the mountainside. The town of Ravello has gorgeous views and many outdoor terraces that provide a romantic setting. The beaches of Maiori are perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun, but if you are looking for more adventure, check out the Grotto dello Smeraldo Cave.

Stay at the Hotel Santa Caterina with its gorgeous seaside views, bright natural light, and a close walk to the center of Amalfi. Or, choose the popular and stylish Le Sirenuse in Positano. There is a MIchelin-starred restaurant called La Sponda which is candle-lit and very romantic. Hotel Poseidon will not break the bank, but it promises incredible views, Instagram-worthy breakfasts and beautiful rooms.
2. Bali, Indonesia
This island is perfect for honeymooners because it is full of culture, art and temples, along with beaches, surfing and snorkeling. Guests can also explore markets, museums and waterfalls. Bali also feels more exotic than the islands nearer to the United States. There are many opportunities for yoga and meditation resorts to truly relax.

The Four Seasons Resort in Sayan is gorgeous with an outdoor pool, pampering treatments and suites/villas complete with a dining area, private terrace and a dressing room. The Kayon Resort by Pramana is perfect for honeymooners because it has a beautiful pool, a spa and even a garden to relax in. The rooms come equipped with a TV, an electric kettle and a mini bar. It is only a short drive to the Ubud Palace and the Ubud Monkey Forest.
3. Cape Town, South Africa
South Africa is a unique destination, but it is perfect for adventurous honeymooners who want to get the most out of their vacation. While Starship Travel was in Cape Town, we visited the penguins at Boulders Beach and explored Table Top Mountain which has some amazing views. We also visited the Constantia Winelands, and drove through the nearby fishing village. The colorful buildings made for another great view.

We stayed at the Raddison Red V&A Waterfront, which is only a few minutes walk to the V&A Waterfront and next to the Zietz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. The hotel has a rooftop sun terrace with a pool and views of the sea. The rooms come equipped with a walk-in rain shower, a fridge and a TV.
4. Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen is the perfect destination to experience a rich culture, see incredible views and eat amazing food. Tivoli Gardens is the worlds oldest theme park, and is a must-visit for all guests visiting Copenhagen. The Little Mermaid statue is a cultural icon, and very fun to snap a picture with. Head to Stroget for some shopping or Nyhavn for some outdoor dining near the canal.

The Andersen Boutique Hotel is a great option for a central position, as it is only a short walk from the train station and the Kodbyen districts restaurants and bars. The Tivoli Gardens are only a 7 minute walk away. There is a terrace and a hip lounge that are perfect for relaxing. Or rent bikes to explore the city!
5. Santorini, Greece
Greece offers incredible day cruises, wine tastings, kayaking, and even cooking classes. Guests will have an incredible time exploring Santorini’s museums, shops and restaurants. They can also hike, swim or visit archaeologist sites. The views are amazing from mountains and from the beaches of the beautiful homes in the mountain side.

Santorini Princess is a relaxing hotel that has a spa, pool and bar. There is also a great view of the Caldera, and the nearby islands. The rooms have a walk-in shower and a dining area. The Andronis Boutique Hotel is another great option. It is in the center of Oia Village, with a view of the Caldera. There is a pool, sauna, a spa and a rooftop terrace- walking tours are also run out of the hotel.
6. Mexico
A fan-favorite honeymoon destination, any part of Mexico promises an unforgettable honeymoon experience. There are endless things to do in Mexico- surfing, golfing, parasailing, scuba diving and lounging at the beach are only a few. Mexico also has perfect weather and amazing food!

Many of the resorts in Mexico are all-inclusive, which guarantees simplicity, and getting the most for your money. The El Dorodo Moroma is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. It is also the only resort in Mexico with private, over-water bungalows. There is a spa, a beach club and several out-door adventures to keep guests occupied, along with one of the world’s best beaches. St. Regis in Punta de Mita is another great option for the adventurous honeymooners. There two Jack Nicklaus golf courses and paddleboarding/kayak lessons available, and their Marine Safari is especially worth participating in. And, of course, the beaches are gorgeous and perfect for relaxing.
