We began our trip to Costa Mujeres at TRS Coral Hotel. This hotel was absolutely beautiful, and had the best service. We even had a butler available to us. There are two properties here- the TRS Coral which is adults only and the Grand Palladium which is for families. These two work well for a couple, friends or a large group who want to use both hotels. There is a village which includes a gorgeous catholic church, restaurants and a theater with awesome shows. This would be a great area for a wedding.

The restaurants and the food were amazing. Here are pictures of some of the dining and living areas throughout TRS. This hotel has an outstanding spa, and even hosts a tennis training facility with tennis experts from Spain.

We moved over to the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres for two nights. A majority of the resort was beautiful. The pools and beaches were wonderful. There were gorgeous views here, and the restaurants were awesome.

The hotel rooms at RIU were just average- large with double beds, but very plain. There was a huge balcony with a view, which was beautiful. However, the bath tub in the middle of the room left no privacy for a family or two sisters traveling together. These are just things to keep in mind while deciding what features are important to you on your travels!

We visited the Dreams Playa to do some site inspections on behalf of our clients. This is a gorgeous property for families. It is located in Playa Mujeres, just north of Cancun. The hotel was careful to follow COVID-19 protocols, and we felt very safe. Everyone wore masks, things were obviously cleaned and many things were single use to avoid contamination.

These are more pictures from Dreams- the pool areas were very nice! There were some restaurants nearby. 9 all together.

Here are pictures of the many different play areas for kids. Though this family resort had awesome waterpark structures for kids to play on, it was not handicap or stroller friendly. It would also be very difficult to get to the beach with a stroller. We had mixed feelings on this, as this is a family resort, with only certain family-friendly elements.

The highlight of the trip was visiting Isla Mujeres. We rented a golf cart to drive around the island, which was a great decision. We ended our trip to Mexico with a boat cruise and some delicious food.
