Rossann’s group

It may be a surprise as I have been in the travel business for 31 years but I have not experienced the New York Theater world until now!  Wow, what a great time.

Rossann and Linda put together this weekend trip for 15 people, we left on Friday morning and returned Tuesday evening, 3 nights and 4 fully packaged days.

The goal was to experience Times Square, see as many shows as we had time for and take in some very special, and well know restaurants.  We had lunch at Katz’s Deli- famous for the movie when Harry met Sally and their mile high corned beef sandwiches; breakfast at Ellen’s Stardust Restaurant with the singing waiters; and dinner at Junior’s Cheesecake offering fabulous Blintzes and Cheesecake to name a few.

Our group toured New York on the On-Off- Hopper Bus, a great form of transportation and sightseeing.  We took the bus to the Staten Island Ferry to see the Stature of Liberty from another vantage point, the water, beautiful from any angle. Some of the group toured the 911 Memorial, Central Park and the Metropolitan Art Museum.  We even took a subway ride from Grand Central Station.

The plays were more than expected.  We saw Tony Award winning Beautiful and even knew the lead character from her years at the Lincolnshire Marriott.  We enjoyed Little Foxes with many stars that we know, including Tony winners Cynthia Nixon and Laura Linney. Richard Thomas from the “Walton’s TV Show” was in it too!

Waitress was a third great performance, one of the best.  And 2 other plays were enjoyed by the group.  In all we saw 6 performances.

This weekend had Taste of Times Square going, this is restaurant tasting event and so very enjoyable.  Great food at really good prices to sample many dishes.

This trip was so much fun we are already putting together our trip for next year. If you are interested, contact Starship Travel www.starshiptravel.com and reserve your space, when the itinerary is completed we will notify you with dates and prices.
